Director of Oil & Gas Operations
Anville Francis comes to Reign Capital with over 37 years of operational and engineering experience in production, completions and drilling. Francis has worked a wide variety of different basins located in Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Canada, and the Gulf of Mexico. He has held high profile operational positions in companies such as Union Oil Co. of California (UNOCAL 76), Rick’s Exploration, Concho Resources, Citation Oil & Gas, Chesapeake Energy, Crescent Consulting, and British Petroleum (BP America).
Francis has a successful history in optimizing production operations to achieve cost efficiencies and produce impactful results. He is proficient in a wide variety of fields including fracturing techniques/designs, all aspects of artificial lift, automation and facilities. He has a "bulldog" style to get the job done for less, while maintaining the highest standards for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS). Francis has worked conventional tight rock plays, including waterfloods, CO2 floods and unconventional reservoirs, including some of the best shale rock in the world. Most recently, he has been responsible for overseeing Spitfire’s SWD Operations.
Francis works well with professionals with a desire to share knowledge in mentoring and supervisory roles. He is highly regarded as a mentor to interns and newly hired professionals providing tools, resources and knowledge.
Francis is a native of the Texas Panhandle and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. His long-held participation on the SOER (Sustaining Oklahoma Energy Resources) Advisory Committee has contributed to the largest oil and gas trade show in Oklahoma for over 20 years. He is also an active member in many local oil & gas organizations such as SPE-OKC, AADE, API and OEE.
