Exploring the Heart of Energy Policy
As the cherry blossoms faded and spring travel ramped up in the nation’s capital, Team DEPA em-barked on a significant journey. This was not just any routine trip; It was a meticulously planned fly-in expedition aimed at engaging with key legislators to gain insights into the state of energy in our country. The trip also served as the board meeting and a time for friends spread across the country to catch up.
The trip commenced purposefully with the 2024 Q1 board meeting. It was a treat to have Montana Senator Steve Daines as our dinner speaker.
Day two our group spent the day engaging with a steady stream of members of Congress at the forefront of energy policy. The primary objective was to provide legislators with firsthand insights from the field, offering them a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by the oil and gas industry in the current landscape.
As the delegation met with key legislators, including members of relevant committees and influential policymakers, discussions delved into a wide range of topics critical to the industry’s future.
