Le Norman: Industry implores legislators to heed Stitt’s warning

Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry was listening closely to Gov. Kevin Stitt’s State of the State address this week, and we’re pleased to hear him echo the warning that our industry has been sounding for months: Without proper planning, the current downturn in Oklahoma’s largest industry could have a detrimental effect on our state budget.

In his remarks, Stitt recognized the central role of our industry, saying “Oklahoma’s economy, and quite frankly our state budget, is built on the backs of the hardworking men and women in the oil and natural gas industry.”
